French producer Joakim, boss of the label Tigersushi released a few days ago his fifth album! This one sees him go back to basics, by using a sampler, microphone, a few analogue synths and a computer.
We could discover a few extracts before the album release, like the excellent “Bring Your Love” featuring Luke from The Rapture, and the cover of Neil Young’s “On The Beach”.
The release features 12 tracks, starting with “Chapter 1”, which puts you slowly in the dreamy atmosphere of the album. It will be followed by “Chapter 2” and “Chapter 3”, coming as interludes. Joakim shows his love for experimentation with songs like “Three Laser Fingers” and “Heartbeats”. Special mention to “Each Other”, for the sweet vocals from Akwetey, and “RX777” for its piano melody, probably the most easy listening songs from the release.
