The latest release from our favorite Australian label, Future Classic, comes from an artist we didn’t know before: Woolfy, aka Simon James. Defined by The Fader as “one of our time’s most underrated disco wizards”, he started under the Woolfy vs Projections alias, with his LP receiving positive comments from Todd Terje, Aeroplane and James Murphy among others.
After collaborating with the legendary label DFA, he’s back on Future Classic for his EP called “City Lights”. The title track is a sweet ballad, with a sweet guitar and tropical sounds. The second track is called”17″, featuring electronic sounds and having a more psyche atmosphere. Francis Inferno Orchestra delivered a cool remix for the track, with an acid touch. There’s also a remix from Split Secs coming with the digital version!
